Every Saturday. Every Saturday and Wednesday for some. There is no question at all about what will take place between the hours of 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm. There is no decision to be made, there is nothing up for debate (not that any would want to change something here)... Everyone understands that we are going to Ted's.
Ted's is more than a simple hamburger joint, it is a way of life. This has been a tradition for nearly 20 years. It means more to this group than you might think. If Alan walks in and only orders two burgers, the employees ask, "Where is everyone?" If someone other than Alan goes in to order, the employees ask, "Is Alan OK?"
The food is good, don't be fooled by the rough, somewhat simple design as seen in the picture. There's about eight (8) old, school desks that fill the waiting/ eating area. People usually only wait there for their delicious order to be cooked, others opt for eating their meals there. We do not. We sit out back behind Ted's (not shown in the photo), in Alan's "bus" as the kids call it, and eat there. Sometimes we sit in that silly bus (it's actually a 15-passenger van) for an hour or more. The grand kids will play in and out of the "bus" and usually some of the parents end up playing too...
We've thought for quite some time that we should place our order somewhere on the menu, so when Alan calls in all he has to say is... "Young regular." And if family is in from Texas he could say, "Young deluxe."
This place has history with this family and I figured there would be something wrong with this blog is it wasn't on here. :)
Get this- just last week... we went to Wendy's!!! Duh duh DUHHHHH!!!!!

No wonder there's no discussion on Saturday. We're decision makers, remember!
